Summary:
The Quality Data Program Manager at Onvida Health is a critical role focused on ensuring accurate, timely, and meaningful reporting of clinical quality data within a hospital and ambulatory system. This role is responsible for managing data collection, validation, and analysis to support data-driven performance improvement, regulatory compliance, and patient safety initiatives. The manager will collaborate with teams to drive quality initiatives and support the organization's mission to deliver high-quality care and prevent adverse events. This position reports to the Director of Quality.
Responsibilities:
Oversee clinical quality data collection from EMRs, Vizient, Midas Care Management and other quality data systems to ensure accurate capture of patient outcomes and quality metrics Ensure quality data is reliable and trustworthy, which is essential for effective business operations, decision-making and driving performance improvement
Design and maintain dashboards and scorecards with data visualizations to track quality indicators and benchmarks Translate complex data into actionable insights that inform clinical practice improvement and operational strategies Support performance improvement projects through robust data analysis and reporting Guide project teams through data audits, root cause analysis, and performance improvement cycles (e.g., PDSA).
Manage hospital quality reporting for federal and state programs (e.g., CMS Core Measures, Leapfrog, DNV) Ensure compliance with external reporting requirements and coordinate submissions (e.g., Hospital Compare, CMS Star Ratings, Leapfrog), staying abreast of CMS and other compliance requirements
Analyze quality data needs and implement technical solutions Serve as a quality representative and liaison for integration of processes and data flow, collaborating with vendors, Clinical Informatics, Information Technology (IT), Data Governance Collaborate with clinical departments, IT, and quality teams to improve documentation and data accuracy Plan and manage the implementation and upgrades of quality data systems, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions
Support accreditation readiness through data reporting and any regulatory audits (e.g., DNV, State of AZ surveys, CMS validation audits)
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement
Demonstrate excellent communication, collaboration and problem solving skills to work effectively with various teams Provide training and support to data users on data quality best practices, quality reporting tools, performance measures, and documentation standards
Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Quality Officer and/or Director of Quality.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Computer Science, or Business, with technical expertise in data
- Working knowledge of CMS IQR & OQR, DNV, Leapfrog.
- Proficient in Excel, SQL, and visualization/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with Midas Care Management
- 3+ years experience in data management, data analysis, and reporting
